With the help of Jose Carrasco who coordinates Drive Thru Food Distributions in Schools by Austin Voices for Education and Youth the goodies will now include some supplies and math activities.

What’s on the cart?  120 composition books with graph paper with math activity sheets, 60 sets of washable markers, and 120 mini games of SET.  After our last conversation with Jose, we learned that many kids lack even paper and pens so we resolved to provide these.  Graph paper is actually a wonderful bridge between opportunities for creative expression where you draw or make what you want, but its also great for graphs, counting, representing numbers and area, and it can be used to make some classic puzzles and brain teasers.  We hope the kids have fun!
