We attended the Association of Rural and Small Library Conference in Montgomery, on the banks of the Alabama River.  The conference covered many topics related to the challenges facing libraries in rural areas.

It was great to hear about the success of the Simons Foundation funded program to bring math programming to rural libraries.  The Infinite Sums program works with partners to forge community partnerships and celebrate Pi Day on March 14, Infinity Day on August 8, and Fibonacci Day on November 23. See some of the posters from their project below.
