This table contains an antique half-Gunter chain, an old measuring tape that contains the full length of a Gunter chain (66 feet), a surveying chain also 66 feet in length but containing a different design, and mini-Texas acre measuring guides.

On the left, we have our shadow puppets, which are made of black paper, with a light shining on the screen from the back. This is a visually inventive way of storytelling! On the right, we represent cannonball stacking in the shape of square and triangular pyramids. If you’re in the middle of a battle, you want to be able to quickly count the number of cannonballs you have!
