The Minnesota State Fair puts on an event to celebrate the beginning of summer (Kickoff to Summer) each Memorial Day weekend, and for the first time this year, MathHappens was on the scene.

We brought Geometiles and an instant camera in order to build a 3D Shape Museum.

We brought multi-colored spheres and frames for building pyramids and other shapes.

We debuted a set of multi-lingual shape puzzles.

We sought and received native-speaker advice in designing these puzzles. Nonetheless, if you spot any errors, please get in touch so we can fix them up.

Finally, we brought some of the greatest hits from the MathHappens Math Rooms.

We are grateful to the Fair for the invitation, and to intern Brynn and a talented team of teachers for helping make this event happen!
