Guest Post by Riya Agarwal, MathHappens Graduate intern in Austin, TX.

Recently, the MathHappens team hosted a Julia Robinson Math Festival at the Carver Branch of the Austin Public Library. The event offered 7 different hands-on math activities created by JRMF, as well as some MathHappens materials, including our Bubble Tiles and frames, as well as a new activity called Des abeilles et chenilles shared with us by Andres Navas at ICM.

Each activity was run by a volunteer. Our volunteers had varying levels of experience with math, and included former and current educators, high school students, graduate students and community members.
