Conic Section Models
MathHappens Foundation has made and delivered for free several thousand of these to libraries and educators with the help of partners like Public Math, MMACA and CPM. Follow this link for a blog entry: (https://www.mathhappens.org/take-and-make-conic-sections-model/) to go to the blog entry with links to CAD files, the order form if you’d like to have one and more.
Conic Sections can be hard to get your mind on, and also hard to get your hands on even if you just want to buy one. So we made this model. It can be colored or embellished according to your needs. You can trace it directly onto cardboard and make a pretty nice duplicate. The model lends itself to 3d printing as well.
